Our Story
Boston Favorite, Baked with Heart Since 2021
Bakey was founded in September 2021 by James Beard Award–nominee Uri Scheft and Or Ohana, inspired by their love for babka, a sweet, braided bread from the Jewish communities of Europe. From the start, their goal was simple: to share this gooey, delicious baked good with the Boston community. Every pastry is baked fresh from sunrise to sunset, filling our space with warmth, comfort, and creativity.

Uri, a Danish–Israeli baker known for blending European and Israeli traditions, continues to inspire everything we make. With CEO KC Brijesh leading the team, Bakey remains a place where curiosity meets craftsmanship. From classic Babka to seasonal creations, each bake is made with care and a touch of playfulness that keeps things fresh.
